Meet Mrs. Hock

Hello! My name is Mrs. Hockenbury and this is my twenty-third year as an educator in the South Burlington School District. I am also an SB alum! I am so excited to teach 2nd grade and continue to work in such a kind, caring community at Rick Marcotte Central School. I was born in New Jersey, yet I grew up mostly in Vermont. After high school, I attended the University of Vermont where I also earned my Master's Degree. I live here in South Burlington with my family: my husband, Ed, and our 3 sons Eddie, Ryan and Casey. Nana and our dog, Bindi, also live with us.

I enjoy being active. I love to watch and participate in a lot of different sports activities. I also like to read, solve puzzles, bake and hang out with family & friends.

I am fortunate to collaborate with great friends. Mrs. Ransom and Mrs. Belisle are wonderful colleagues. Here's a picture of our fantastic teaching team for this year.

Did you know that I have worked with Mrs. Belisle since 1998?! Here's a picture of the two of us with our artwork we painted to resemble "Starry Night".

Please call, email or send a note if you have any questions or concerns at any time. shockenbury@sbschools.net OR 652-7230.

Thank you for sharing your wonderful children with me every day!
